The American luxury river cruise line – which has expanded its fleet by more than 10 per cent since 2020 – will debut three vessels in 2027, one in 2026 and another in 2025, following last year’s float-out of the S.S. Victoria
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises is set to expand its fleet with three new Super Ships debuting in 2027, completing its transition to an all-Super Ship lineup. Designed to reflect the cultural heritage of the regions in which they sail, the vessels will feature lavish interiors using high-end materials including custom fabrics, hand-carved wood and marble floors, along with bespoke artwork. They will operate on Europe’s Rhine, Main, Danube, and Douro rivers.
Ellen Bettridge, President and CEO of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, stated, “2027 will mark an extraordinary milestone for Uniworld as we complete our transformation into a fully Super Ship fleet of floating boutique hotels with the addition of three incredible new builds. Our focus has never been on simply adding more ships, but on continually raising the bar on the luxury river cruise experience. These new vessels will embody our unwavering commitment to innovation and craftsmanship, delivering something truly unparalleled for our valued guests – where no detail is too small.”

The floating out of the three new Super Ships will follow other recently announced Uniworld Super Ships, including the S.S. Emilie, debuting in 2026 and the S.S. Elisabeth, debuting later this year – the S.S. Victoria set sail for the first time in 2024. Together the recent additions represent a more than 10 per cent expansion to Uniworld’s fleet from 2020.
New-build ship S.S. Emilie is inspired by Austrian painter Gustav Klimt and named after his muse, Emilie Flöge. The 154-passenger vessel will sail the Danube on eight itineraries and incorporate Klimt’s signature aesthetic with vibrant colours, gold accents and Art Nouveau influences. It will also feature a unique restaurant, lounge and bar along with a spacious two-bedroom suite option.

Uniworld will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026 with special offerings, including a 50-night ‘Rivers of the World’ voyage, three new Mystery Cruises, and a new family-friendly Generations Collection itinerary.
