Vanuatu has a new resort concept, with the opening in June of The Palm House (TPH) – Vanuatu’s first agro-tourism resort. Privately owned for the past 15 years, the property, situated on the pristine north-west coastline of Efate Island, has undergone an upgrade and is now a luxury, all-inclusive boutique hotel accommodating eight guests.

Surrounded by 3,800 hectares of organic farmland and 12 kilometres of private beaches and reef, the property’s four villas boast private verandahs with unrestricted views across the azure blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. The villas are decorated in a colonial style, nodding to Vanuatu’s history, and are fitted-out with handmade decorative objects, individual outdoor showers, Crosley blue tooth record players and Smeg mini bar fridges.

All bookings come with a 24-hour butler service and a private chef serving up daily continental breakfast, two-course lunches and three-course dinners. The property can also arrange private picnics on one of the private beaches and boat tours to the neighbouring island.

As well as being one of the largest cattle producers in Vanuatu, The Palm House also proudly owns and operates Vate Prawns – Vanuatu’s only prawn operations –and a coconut oil operation, producing organic-certified premium brand coconut oil. The Palm House’s in-house chef utilises as much of the local produce sourced directly from the ranch as possible, creating a true paddock to plate dining experience.

The Palm House is located approximately 45mins from the capital city of Port Vila.
