Highly anticipated Regent Bali Canggu opens

Regent Bali Canggu – Beach Villa Pool
The all-suite-and-villa beachfront resort follows the 2024 debut of Regent Santa Monica and will be the site of the world’s first Regent Spa
Regent has unveiled its latest luxury resort, Regent Bali Canggu, on the trendy expat-peppered shores of Canggu Beach in Bali. This marks the first Regent property in Indonesia since the brand joined IHG Hotels & Resorts in 2018.
The new all-suite-and-villa resort – spread across 14 acres – offers five distinctive dining venues, an incredible nine swimming pools, and the signature Regent Club – an exclusive full-service lounge. Guests will also have access to the world’s first Regent Spa – but not until late 2025, when kids club Regent Kids will also open. The resort’s design, conceived by Wimberly, Allison, Tong and Goo (WATG) in collaboration with Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), marries traditional Balinese elements with modern touches – a popular style among Bali resorts. The landscape design was led by John Pettigrew, who has incorporated local plants and reclaimed materials to create gardens that soften the buildings’ geometric lines.

The resort comprises 150 elegantly designed suites and villas, many with panoramic sea or garden views with direct lagoon access. Studio Suites begin at 818 square feet and feature hand-carved teak bathtubs and rain showers, while the Two Bedroom Penthouse Oceanfront offers over 6,600 square feet of space with a private infinity pool. The One Bedroom Beachfront Villa, at 3,519 square feet, similarly delivers expansive ocean views along with enhanced Regent Club privileges.
Regent Bali Canggu’s signature restaurant, Taru, serves authentic Indonesian dishes, while Spanish tapas are offered at Sazón under the stewardship of award-winning Chef Andrew Walsh, who drew inspiration from the lively streets of Barcelona to create the restaurant’s menu. Cure, opening later this year on the beachfront, will present refined modern European-Asian fusion cuisine.

Debuting in partnership with Raison d’Etre in late 2025, the Regent Spa & Wellness will offer an array of scrubs, wraps and massages alongside advanced skincare sessions utilising Kerstin Florian products. Guests can also expect spiritual treatments including vibrating crystal energy, healing aromas, and restorative light frequencies. Seven treatment rooms – including a couple’s suite, a sauna, a plunge pool and a dedicated Beauty Hub will offer a range of services, while the Health Club will feature a mat-based studio for yoga and stretching, as well as a spacious gym outfitted with Technogym strength and cardio equipment.
“With a 50-year legacy of innovation, extraordinary views, landmark destinations and exceptional service, the Regent brand has returned to reimagine luxury here in Canggu,” stated General Manager Manish Puri.
Regent Bali Canggu room rates start from US$760 per night (excluding taxes and fees) with IHG One Rewards available.
