Mangrove and Coral Planting, Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, Fiji

Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, part of Marriott International’s Good Travel with Marriott Bonvoy initiative, offers a diverse range of sustainability activities aimed at preserving the Fiji Islands’ stunning coral reefs and mangrove habitats. These experiences provide deep learning opportunities for families and participants of all ages, allowing guests to gain insights into natural ecosystems and the challenges they face while actively contributing to ongoing conservation efforts.

Families can actively support sustainability through various initiatives under Marriott Bonvoy’s Good Travel framework, contributing to both the marine environment and the local community. From coral and mangrove planting to responsible diving and snorkelling, the resort fosters a sense of responsibility towards Fiji’s fragile ecosystems.

Guests are also encouraged to engage with Fijian culture, supporting local artisans and participating in community-led initiatives. This holistic approach ensures that guests can make a meaningful impact on both the environment and the local community while creating lasting memories and strengthening family bonds. To date, the resort has planted 2,390 mangroves, 222 corals and built six fish houses at Momi Bay as part of its ongoing conservation efforts.
