AKASA – Jumeirah Bali

At Jumeirah Bali’s cliffside restaurant & bar, AKASA, diners are transported to the Majapahit era while surrounded by breathtaking panoramic views of the Uluwatu coast. The chic interior evokes a royal Javanese banquet hall, setting the scene for a dining experience fit for royalty. Chef Joan Achour’s Asian fusion menu combines the rich, smoky flavours of Bali with influences from Thai, Japanese, and Korean cuisines.

The menu emphasises sharing, paying homage to Bali’s tradition of communal dining. From flame-grilled tuna tartare to wood-fired veal katsu, the dishes showcase Bali’s culinary heritage. The robata selection offers delights like salmon with miso and yuzu and seared teriyaki lamb. Seafood lovers can savour giant blue river prawns and whole scallops, while meat enthusiasts can choose from a selection including wagyu tenderloin and premium steaks. For dessert, pandan crème brûlée and homemade kaya jam provide a delightful finish. The restaurant also boasts an underground wine cellar with an extensive collection of premium vintages – accessible via a glass elevator, adding to the enchantment of the experience.
