Sun, sea and summer cocktails at Double Bay’s Rooftop

Those who find themselves in Sydney’s eastern suburbs this summer might like to check out Rooftop, the chic rooftop bar at InterContinental Sydney Double Bay.

Rooftop bar at InterContinental Sydney Double Bay has opened for the summer months, this year welcoming Sydneysiders and hotel guests alike.

Nestled in the leafy suburb of Double Bay in the city’s east, Rooftop is on the sixth floor of the hotel with striking views of Sydney Harbour and the surrounding suburbs.

Rooftop cabanas and lounges emphasise the summery, laidback feel of the open-air poolside bar, complemented by a DJ podium set up behind the swimming pool.

Luxury Travel magazine attended the venue’s official launch party this week and sampled a selection of premium cocktails from a new signature cocktail menu created by mixologist Grant Collins.

A new menu of small bites is also available, which includes a selection by award-winning Japanese restaurant, Saké Restaurant & Bar.

Rooftop is open daily from 12pm to one hour past sunset for the summer season. Hotel guests and the public are welcome at the venue but reservations are not available. There’s no minimum spend at Rooftop and seating is provided on a first come, first serve basis.
