Suite Life: The St Regis Rome

ABOUT THE HOTEL

The St Regis Hotel, Rome exudes a sense of nobility, extending from the view from the outside to the smallest details of the 16th century inspired furnishings. Steps away from two majestic fountains the Moses and the Najati and built on top of the ruins of the Baths of Diocletian, the hotel is over four floors, housing 161 guestrooms and 23 uniquely decorated suites.

UNIQUE FEATURES

The rooms each possess a sense of both spaciousness and coziness with high ceilings and large windows with perfect views over the city, and feature Italian Renaissance paintings in every room. Designed by Giulio Podesti, the pillars, marble, and intricate details are notable characteristics that add to the sense of lavishness.

DINING

The hotel’s main restaurant, Vivendo’s kitchen is operated by Chef Francesco Donatelli, and features local flavors combined with traditional Roman cuisine and an extensive wine list, as one would expect in Italy.

SPA

KamiSpa is in exclusive partnership with the St Regis, Rome and offers extraordinary Asian therapies and treatments on the fifth floor of the hotel.

HIGHLIGHTS

An atmosphere of romantic Italian glamour is enhanced by a wood and antique gold theme throughout the guest rooms and sunlight pours through 16th century windows. The 24-hour butler service is the cherry on top of a dazzling hotel experience.

COULD DO BETTER

Only small details such as the climate control in the room could be improved. For example, when we came back from dinner the room seemed stuffy even though we tried to cool it down before leaving.

IF YOU’D LIKE TO UPGRADE

Spread over a vast 300 square metres, The Royal Suite includes a living room featuring an antique grand piano and a dining room that includes a huge marble table, wine cellar, and kitchen and is indeed, royal.

INSIDER TIP

The St Regis offers complimentary WiFi in the lobby, but we found it to be slow, so be sure to purchase room WiFi which is faster and much easier to use.
