Suite life: Four Seasons Hotel Sydney

Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is close to the iconic Sydney Harbour foreshore and its landmarks, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

About the hotel

Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is right in the heart of Sydney’s shopping, financial and historic district. It is also close to the iconic Sydney Harbour foreshore and its landmarks the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

Unique features

The location is one of its best features. Right in the corner of the CBD with direct access to the historic Rocks, all of Sydney is accessible from this hotel. Ferries, trains and buses are right outside the front door. There are great views of the city and harbour from every room.

Dining

Restaurant Pei Modern moved in here last year and is certainly a prize catch for Four Seasons. Renowned Sydney chef Mark Best opened Melbourne Pei Modern in 2012. The food is fantastic with a variety of tastes and freshness. The 250g Wagyu flat-iron steak is a highlight as are the chicken dumplings. Don’t forget dessert. The freshly baked honey madeleines are incredible.

Spa

The Endota Spa on Level 3 will ease the aches and pains from all that walking and exploring around Sydney. The spa menu has something for everyone with treatments lasting from 45 minutes (Relaxation Massage) to four hours for the ultimate indulgence.

Highlights

It’s all about location, location, location for this five-star hotel situated right in the heart of the Sydney CBD with everything just outside the door – and often within walking distance. The Pei Modern restaurant is also a real highlight.

Could do better

There is always plenty going on in the lobby bar and restaurant, so it can get a little loud if an event is taking place in the hotel.

If you’d like an upgrade

The Royal Suite is amazing. “Large” is not the word – rather huge, spacious and so very comfortable. The massive free-standing round bathtub is a must-experience to soak up the view from the giant picture window. From here you can upgrade to the Deluxe Royal Suite, which has views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. It’s on the same floor, just with a different view.

Insider tip

Enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail at artisan bar Grain, which also offers a wide selection of organic and biodynamic wines. Go for a room with harbour views, one of the best views in Sydney.
