The newest luxury cruise ship from Seabourn will spend its inaugural season cruising Australian waters…
Seabourn’s newest luxury cruise ship, Seabourn Encore, has completed its final sea trials and will embark on its first journey from Athens on December 4. The 600-guest ship is the latest addition to the luxury cruise line’s small-ship fleet and touted as the most aesthetic and innovative vessel ever debuted.
Early January will see a gala naming ceremony for Seabourn Encore in Singapore followed by a three-month inaugural season cruising Australian waters. Seabourn has partnered with English musical theatre lyricist Tim Rice to present An evening with Tim Rice. This exclusive performance will be debuted on-board Seabourn Encore in early 2017, with the ship scheduled to make nine maiden calls at Australian ports between January 2017 and March 2017.
For Seabourn Encore, renowned hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany has designed an expansion of the line’s Odyssey-class ships. The ship will maintain the line’s high ratio of space per guest with every suite featuring a private balcony. Other features include The Retreat, a dedicated relaxation space comprised of private cabanas designed as private living rooms; an Observation Bar serving continental breakfast, afternoon tea and nighttime entertainment, and the Grand Wintergarden Suites that feature a private glass solarium.
Prices start from $14,499* per person double occupancy for a 16-day voyage from Sydney to Auckland on December 4, 2017, or January 21, 2018, and visiting New Zealand ports including Tauranga and Wellington, as well as Philip Island and Melbourne in Victoria.
