LUX* Bodrum Resort & Residences opens in Turkey
This luxury hotel is LUX*’s first in the region.
LUX* Resorts & Hotels has opened LUX* Bodrum, a new five-star addition to the Aegean Riviera in Turkey. This contemporary beach front resort is set on the southwestern coastline, with a private peninsula and bay.
All 91 guest rooms and 19 private residences have been designed with views in mind, featuring floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the ocean. The building is flooded with natural light and clean interiors, including sophisticated indoor and outdoor living areas, and contemporary furnishings in natural tones. Before its opening the hotel was awarded a Silver Award in the Architecture, Building and Structure Design category at Milan’s A’Design Awards.
In addition to the guest rooms, there is an exclusive two-bedroom villa located at the furthest point on the peninsula. At 1,050 square metres, the villa overlooks both the bay and private gardens, and features a private jetty with enough space to moor a small yacht. The three and four bedroom residences have the option of private garden or pool, and every bedroom has its own ensuite.
The innovative resort leaves a fairly avant-garde impression; an iconic red telephone box (called Phone Home) offers free phone calls, and guests are invited to seek out a message in a bottle (hidden somewhere in the hotel grounds) to win a free dinner for two or a spa treatment. An amphitheatre overlooking the ocean offers beachfront pop-up films in the evenings, artists lead a calendar of creative workshops and LUX*’s own ice-cream specialists serve ice-cream in waffle cones. Beach club Club Rouge provides an easy-going bar and lounge during the day, and transforms into a party destination at night, with DJs and a dancefloor.
The usual resort facilities such as a spa, wellness centre and swimming pool are there, in addition to a cafe, bar and Italian restaurant.
