Kwandwe’s new exclusive-use safari villa
The former owners home will now be available for private hire.
Kwandwe Fort House will open its doors to guests for the first time ever in July 2017, after functioning as a private residence since the late 1700s. The property is located in the South African Big Five private game reserve Kwandwe, and will provide a spacious and private safari villa for visiting groups.
The home can accommodate up to eight guests, with two master bedrooms and two twin suites in addition to separate living and entertainment spaces, a study and a spa treatment room. Interiors feature natural materials such as grass cloth wallpaper, linen and silk curtains, leather furniture and hide rugs. The walls are adorned with pieces by local artists, while the floor-to-celling windows showcase the scenery of the reserve. The grounds contain a large front lawn, a pool and a traditional boma for outdoor dining. The home is fully serviced with a team of on-site staff who ensure guests are comfortable and well catered for during their stay.
Rates start from R66,400 (about A$6,600) per night including all meals, drinks and a variety of daily safari activities hosted by a dedicated guide and tracker team.
