Located on the seafood cafe-lined Jimbaran Bay, the resort’s villas are dotted over a headland overlooking the bay with the Ngurah Rai International Airport runway in the distance. (The transfer from the airport is around 25 minutes.) Year-round guided surfing is offered from the resort by Australian surf company Tropicsurf including new heli-Surfing tours to G-Land on the south-east coast of Java (an alternative to Bali’s crowded waves).

 

Walking distance to

Jimbaran Seafood Huts are just two minutes walk along the beach from the resort serving a traditional coconut husk BBQ of fresh seafood nightly. Jimbaran Corner is a 10-minute walk away to find local shops and cafes

Metered taxis are on stand-by at the resort and private cars available for tours on hourly rental basis arranged via the concierge desk.

 

Size and style

Designed in the style of a traditional Balinese village, the accommodation here is all villas and residence villas.

Even entry-level villas are 250 square metres of indoor and outdoor living space with a private, 13-metres-squared plunge pool. The style is that of a typical Balinese courtyard house with thatch-roofed sleeping, bathing and living/dining pavilions within a private, walled garden.

The resort is comprised of 147 recently renovated villas and nine residences.

This resort attracts a lot of multi-generational family travellers: adult children and grandchildren of various ages but also 25+ honeymooners and romance travellers, 30+ parents and children and also 40+ romantic travellers.

Airport Transfers

Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay staff meet-and-greet all guests arriving by plane at the airport. Airport transfers are conducted by a third party company that meets Four Seasons service and quality standards. Bottled water, cold towels and in-vehicle WiFi are included. Stop-offs are no problem (eg ATM, chemist, mini mart). The cost is from about $67 Australian dollars net per car, one-way (for Kijang vehicle).

For VIP Customs/Immigration clearance by a third party operator, there is an additional fee of $75 Australian dollars net per person. This service can be booked via the resort upon reservation.

On-site dining and drinking facilities

Sundara: an Asian-inspired beachfront venue with an indoor-outdoor design bringing together a restaurant, air-conditioned bar, open-air terrace and beach-front daybeds for lounging by the pool. Besides lunch and dinner Sundara serves six hours of tapas accompanied by live music and cocktails for those spending an afternoon poolside on deck chairs or in a cabana.

Taman Wantilan: serves Western comfort food under two thatch-roofed Balinese pavilions that perform as open-air dining rooms with views out over the bay. Family-friendly, this restaurant has a dedicated children’s area within sight of the dining room and children can also dine from a kids’ menu in the play area. Taman Wantilan serves steak, pizza and pasta and seafood for lunch and dinner daily.

Pool Terrace Cafe: has shaded, open-air tables by the main resort pool and serves a light, casual menu that includes salads and sandwiches.

Jimbaran Bay Cooking Academy: a state-of-the-art show kitchen set in an organic herb and vegetable garden. Diners watch a team of Balinese chefs prepare home-style dishes. The a la carte menu includes ceremonial dishes as well as those from the daily Balinese diet. The Cooking Academy also runs daily Indonesian cooking classes.

The main resort pool is Bali’s longest beach-front pool at 57 metres. There is also another pool below the lobby. Neither pool is heated but resort pools in Bali don’t need to be.
