Luxury wellness hotel group Six Senses has announced a new property to open in Fiji in 2017.
Luxury hotel and spa group Six Senses has announced it will open a property in Fiji, on Malolo Island. Six Senses Fiji will have 24 pool villas and 66 residential villas, alongside a private 650-metre beach.
Facilities planned for the resort include a restaurant and bar, wine cellar, and tasting table; a gym, kids’ club, and club house; as well as the group’s signature Six Senses Spa, offering wellness programs tailored to each guest.
Water-based activities on offer include boating, sailing, diving, and snorkelling. A full-service marina is located adjacent to the resort and will be available for private yachts.
The resort will have an emphasis on sustainability and aims to be 100% solar powered. Tree reforestation is also planned to offset wood loss used in the construction of the resort.
The announcement marks further expansion for the group outside of Southeast Asia, with Six Senses Portugal opening in 2015, the first Six Senses property in Europe; and Six Senses Zighy Bay in Oman. Other Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas under development include a collection of residences in Bhutan; a property in Rajasthan, India; a property on the Emerald Coast, Nicaragua; and a property in Uluwatu, Indonesia.
Six Senses Fiji will open in late 2017 and will be accessible via a 30-minute helicopter flight or 20-minute seaplane from Nadi International Airport.
