Luxury Australian lodge Longitude 131° is set to have a new look come 2017.
Luxurious outback retreat Longitude 131° at Uluru in the Northern Territory will be getting an upgrade and refurbishment, due for completion in late 2017.
The new changes will include introducing a new premium suite called the Dune Pavilion, with separate living and sleeping spaces and a private plunge pool.
The main resort building, Dune House, will be redeveloped to include a dedicated bar area to complement the dining areas and the pool space will also be improved.
A significant portion of the multi-million dollar enhancement includes adding new facilities including a signature spa designed to fit cohesively into the natural landscape of the area.
A dune-top bar and deck will also be added, which will rest at the highest elevation at the resort, offering views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Guests will be able to eat, drink, lounge, or even jump in the horizon plunge pool that will look out to Uluru.
Longitude 131°, owned by luxury boutique property collection Baillie Lodges, will be redesigned by architect Max Pritchard, who also designed Baillie Lodges’ Kangaroo Island property, Southern Ocean Lodge.
All the new plans have been designed with attention to minimising any impact on the surrounding natural environment.
