Following its $120 million renovation, InterContinental Sydney has now revealed three new premium suites, which include the Presidential Opera Suite, Royal Opera Suite, and Governor Opera Suite.
The interiors were created by Woods Bagot, the architecture studio behind InterContinental Sydney’s redesign, which was revealed in October 2022. The 509-room hotel is located in Sydney’s Treasury Building of 1851.
Guests staying in the hotel’s premium suites will have access to the hotel’s recently refurbished and relocated Club InterContinental lounge on level 31. The new lounge offers panoramic vistas of Sydney Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney Harbour, and the Sydney Opera House. Club breakfasts can be enjoyed on Level 32.

On level 29, The Presidential Opera Suite features panoramic views from each room, including a separate lounge room, large dining and entertaining area seating 14 guests, kitchen with butlers’ entry, workspace and master bedroom occupying 245m². The window-side circular bathtub overlooks the eastern harbour and Sydney Royal Botanic Garden and stands as the hero of the grand bathroom and dressing room, whilst the outdoor terrace offers private views of the Sydney Opera House and beyond.
With views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, The Royal Opera Suite on level 30 includes a dining space, a central lounge and a gathering space set across 150m².
Meanwhile, the 105m² The Governor Opera Suite corner suite residence offers unique vantage points of the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the city from the western side of the hotel. It features open-plan living, study, and dining spaces and a bedroom.
