Spicers adds Port Douglas villa to Private Collection
With beautiful Four Mile Beach views and luxurious amenities, Villa Aman in Port Douglas, Queensland, is open to guests for the first time.
Serenely set in Flagstaff Hill in Port Douglas, Queensland, Villa Aman has joined the Spicers Private Collection of luxurious holiday properties, available to guests for the first time.
The villa’s secluded setting on the hillside lends 180-degree vistas of the ocean and surrounding rainforest, while four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a magnesium swimming pool, spa, and expansive outdoor entertainment spaces provide a relaxing retreat for up to eight guests.
Recently refurbished by interior designer Louise Walsh, the property features a collection of artworks and furnishings that lend a stylish, contemporary feel, and complements its Spanish coastal architectural design.
A gourmet kitchen, designed with guidance from a professional chef, is well-equipped for those who enjoy cooking and entertaining. Private chefs can also be arranged for special in-house dining experiences.
Design Notes
Villa Aman was designed by Gary Hunt to evoke a sense of harmony with its natural surroundings. Water has been a central element in the design, seen in a series of cascading waterfalls and ponds in the atrium, as well as the serene ocean vistas seen from the day lounge. The villa has received the Best Luxury Residence Award from Master Builders.
Luxurious touches include Italian marble flooring and a sweeping marble staircase, a Bali marble feature wall in the kitchen, and a beautiful two-storey formal living room with a vaulted timber cathedral ceiling.
