Auberge Resorts Collection’s new property in the Hudson Valley has opened — a true nature escape, just 90 minutes from New York City.
Set on 56 hectares of sweeping meadows filled with native flowers and woodlands, Wildflower Farms is a new country retreat from Auberge Resorts designed for those seeking a short break from the Big Apple.
Sixty-five guest accommodations range from cabins to cottages and suites, all designed to blend in with the environment. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide expansive views of the surrounding flower meadows and Shawangunk Ridge, and interiors are rustic yet contemporary, with a natural palette of tones and materials contrasting with vibrant furnishings and fabrics.
Special touches include coffee table-style books curated in partnership with Phaidon, custom cedarwood soap from Saipua, and a minibar featuring wellness-themed snacks from New York City-based The Goods Mart.
Three dining destinations include the signature Clay restaurant, serving breakfast lunch and dinner menus with farm-to-table cuisine; the al fresco The Great Porch, where guests can sip on their morning coffees and afternoon cocktails; and Dew Bar, serving cocktails, small bites, and lunch, poolside.
A luxurious spa features a treatment menu that changes in line with the seasons using products made locally with botanical ingredients. Guests can venture into the great outdoors on myriad hiking trails around the property, or participate in a daily program of classes such as yoga in the fitness and movement studio.
Authentic Experiences
In the style of a true country escape, activities at Wildflower Farms are designed for guests to slow their daily pace and connect with nature. Foraging, hiking, botanical-infused baking, pickling and preserving sessions, and pressed flower pottery are just some of the wholesome experiences that guests can partake in during their stay.
Hudson Valley can be reached by car or train from New York City and is home to art galleries, historical sites, and notable restaurants serving fresh, farm-sourced produce.
Room rates start from USD$1,000 (about AUD$1,565) per night.
