Spicers Retreats

I forgot to bring my own coffee this trip. I asked the staff what kind of coffee they had. Do they have any non-espresso coffee options? “No, but we’ll get it for you.” The next morning, I walked in, said yes to coffee, black. I was presented with the exact filtered coffee I’d described the day before. They’d picked it up from a local supplier and had it ground specially for me. Priceless.

The whole experience will appeal to the kind of people who are sensitive to natural wonders, but whose conversation extends beyond geological timelines and different species of moss. Your walking companions are therefore virtually guaranteed to be good company, and the surroundings are hard to beat.

Spicers news

A new cycling trail in Queensland has been launched by Spicers Retreats.

The whole paddock-to-plate fad can seem a branding concept more than a practice, but at Botanica you can see it in action. Mark has built the gardens, selected the heritage seeds for the produce, nurtured them to ripeness and harvested them for the plate each day.
