Weather to go

Greece has a traditional Mediterranean climate, full of sunshine and little rain.  The seaside towns enjoy hot and dry summer days (around 30 degrees Celsius) from June to September, but as you travel inland temperatures will lower.  In winter the lowlands barely see ice or snow, while mountaintops are covered.  The best times to visit Greece are in the spring and fall, when temperatures are mild and the major summer crowds are nowhere to be seen.
