Weather to go

Austria has a typical temperate climate, with four seasons, each of which gives a different reason to visit.  Peak season is during the summer months of July and August, however beautiful mountains bring visitors in fall and winter to hike and ski, respectively.  The average temperature in summer is 19 degrees Celsius, although it it can reach as high as 35 degrees.  Winters in Austria can be brutally cold, especially at high elevations, with the average temperature 0 degrees Celsius and lows of -20 degrees Celsius not uncommon.
