Far flung from the cities and towns, InterContinental Fiji is nestled amongst 35 acres of tropical garden located along picturesque Natadola Bay on Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu. The resort is protected by a reef which creates an aqua-blue ocean-facing lagoon.

 

Walking distance to:

The InterContinental Concierge team are able to arrange for transfers to places of interest and historical significance. Travelling time can vary from five – 60 minutes depending on interest.

 

Size and style:

The Resort is made up of 266 rooms, including 50 luxurious one and two bedroom Club InterContinental suites. The style of the Resort is chic and modern, with rooms and suites ranging from 63 to 218 square metres.

 

Guest profile:

The InterContinental guest is a business professional aged 35 years and above. Guests are well travelled and used to the finer things in life and demand this when on a holiday. They want impeccable service, fantastic food and beverage offerings and options for leisure recreational activities.

 

Family friendly:

Yes, the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa caters to guests of all ages. For families, they have a signature kids club Planet Trekkers, that looks after children aged four-12 years throughout the day. They also offer expertly trained babysitters/nannies so that parents can indulge in some quality time together.

 

Airport transfers:

A private vehicle transfer, which seats four, is charged at FJD$320 (about A$199) each way and FJD$590 (about A$367) return.

The shared Airport shuttle, which seats 13, is charged at FJD$63 (about A$39) per person each way and FJD$110 (about A$68) per person return. 

Helicopter transfers are also available to and from the resort.

 

You need to know:

The resort's unique white sand beach setting on Natadola Bay allows for positioning of “offering an island experience on the Fijian mainland”. The resort has the largest entry level size rooms in Fiji at 63 square metres. All rooms have an outdoor Cleopatra bath tub that fits two people. 

 

On-site dining and drinking facilities:

Navo Specialty Dining: This restaurant features contemporary cuisine inspired by the sea and an extensive range of new and old world wines. An adults only venue for breakfast and dinner with exceptional views of the Pacific Ocean. (Families can enjoy dinner at Navo during family hour from 5.30pm – 7pm).

Sanasana: This all day dining restaurant offers buffet breakfast, à la carte lunch/dinner and themed buffet dinner, with a different theme for dinner each evening.
 
Toba Bar & Grill: Located at the heart of the resort, guests can enjoy casual Fiji dining for lunch or dinner at Toba Bar & Grill. The grill features a wide range of dining options including wood-fired pizzas, burgers and desserts.
 
Kama Lounge: Specialising in international and locally inspired cocktails and snacks, this is the signature bar at the resort that also offers all day dining. Some key highlights are the deli for a quick bite, afternoon high tea and happy hour in the evening accompanied by daily entertainment to herald the arrival of sunset hour.
 
Intimate dining experiences are also available at locations across the resort. 

 

On-site facilities:

The Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course with 18 holes is five minutes drive away. The resort also offers Dive and Water Sports Fiji, glass bottom boat safaris, snorkelling, wakeboarding, waterskiing, knee-boarding, tube riding, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, sport fishing and surfing lessons. A Leisure Concierge can take care of all guests' recreational needs and provides assistance with planning a tailor-made itinerary, restaurant bookings, spa bookings and arranging tours.

Valet parking is complimentary.

Pool

Yes - a family pool (105 metres long), an adults-only infinity pool and the Club Lounge Pool, which is only accessible by Club InterContinental guests. 

Gym

Yes, there is a 24 hour operational gym with key room access that is unsupervised. The gym combines the flexibility of free weights with state of the art cardiovascular equipment. A personal trainer can be arranged upon request.

Spa

The SPA InterContinental is a haven of peace and relaxation combining Asian, Eastern and Western treatment methods. Signature body treatments include hot stone massages, traditional Fijian massage and pure romance rituals. The Spa also offers a Wai Zone – a hydrotherapy room with a plunge pool, steam room and ice room where guests can undergo a detox programme to stimulate blood circulation.

Weather to go

Fiji generally maintains year round warm temperatures, however there is a spike in temperature during the wet season between November and March. The cooler dry season occurs between May to September.
