For golf lovers

The Golf Touring Company has just announced a 2019 Canada itinerary from Calgary to Vancouver, taking in some of the nation’s best golf courses as well the must-see natural attractions along the way. The ten-day journey will see guests interspersing bear spotting, wine tasting and a scenic picnic on the shores of the Emerald Lake with rounds of golf played on courses in Calgary, Banff Springs, Vernon and Kelowna. Accommodation will be at Fairmont hotels across the country as well as four nights at Predator Ridge Resort in the Okanangan Valley, a region famed for its outdoor activities and world-class golf courses.

For nature lovers

Abercrombie & Kent’s 2018 Canadian Rockies itinerary provides an immersive experience in Canada’s remarkable landscapes. Guests will spend two days in Lake Louise, Jasper and Banff, home to the vibrant Emerald Lake, the scenic Icefields Parkway and the UNESCO World Heritage listed Banff National Park respectively. Highlights of the eight-day itinerary include include a lesson with a professional photographer at Moraine Lake, a cliff top Glacier Skywalk suspended above the Sunwapta Valley and a wildlife hike led by one of the country’s leading naturalists


For history lovers

In Summer 2018 Luxury Gold will launch their Indulgence in Eastern Canada itinerary from Toronto to Montreal, which takes travellers to landmark historical and culture stops in each destination. Guests will visit Parliament buildings and museums in Toronto, meet a former member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and view the entrance to the UNESCO listed Rideau Canal in Ottawa, explore the highlights of Quebec with a local expert and take in the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal. The eight-day trip will also include bespoke dining experiences such as an evening on the Ile d’Orleans at an old stone watermill dating back to the early 18th century where a private chef will serve dinner to a backdrop of musical performances.

Weather to go

Canadian winters are notoriously cold, particularly in the interior provinces, which experience temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius during the winter, with a high wind chill factor. Inland Canada can experience snow for up to half the year, while the coastal areas have a more temperate climate, with pleasant summers ranging from 20 to 30 degrees celsius.
