Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley launches epicurean weekends

The luxury venue will partner with culinary specialists including Firedoor head chef Lennox Hastie, as well as premium brands such as House of Waterford and R.M. Williams.

Luxury eco-tourism property Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley has announced the launch of one-off epicurean escapes to take place over the next month. In a bid to showcase the best of the region's local produce head chef Nancy Kinchela will collaborate with visiting culinary experts in a series of weekend packages centred around bespoke food experiences.

Waterford Whisky Weekend

This weekend kicks off with a fireside whisky tasting masterclass followed by a degustation dinner with matching whisky blends.  On returning to their villas for the night, guests will discover a luxury nightcap served in a Waterford crystal tumbler embossed with their initials.

This weekend will run from 18th-19th August and a A$200 supplement will be required in addition to room cost.


The Ultimate Australian Weekend

This three-day getaway hosted in collaboration with R.M Williams combines outback activities and rustic barbecued cuisine provided by Firedoor head chef Lennox Hastie. Highlights include a trail ride through the valley, an evening of stargazing and storytelling and dinner cooked over an open fire.

This weekend will run from 1st-3rd September and a A$325 supplement will be required in addition to room cost.

Weather to go

The Blue Mountains have a cool climate. The summer months (Dec-Jan) are mild to warm and are relatively wet, with the average temperature of the lower mountains sitting at 29°C. In winter (Jun-Aug) the weather is cool and dry, with the average day temperature of around 16°C. However the temperature generally drops 2°C with every 300m increase in altitude. The higher you go the cooler it gets!
