China Southern Airlines Lounges

The lounges

China Southern Airlines shares the Air New Zealand lounge in Sydney, which had all that was needed in the early morning hours before departure. In Guangzhou, the China Southern Sky Pearl International VIP Lounge was quite outstanding for comfort. It was five-star, state-of-the-art with an elegant but simple design, excellent computer facilities and helpful staff. It only opened in January this year and is now China’s largest and probably finest VIP lounge, with a total area of 1,400 square metres spread over two floors. Despite the fact that it’s a very modern establishment (and I know that lounges aren’t there to serve five-course dinners), there wasn’t much of what I would call “comfort food”, something many passengers like before they hop on a plane. Otherwise, a great lounge overall.
